Guild of Bell-Ringers

Current Bell-Ringers

Each day (except when special events preclude it), one of these valiant bell-ringers climbs the tower to the chamber containing the College’s chime of 10 bells — whose ringing levers challenge even the most intrepid pianist at first. Seven days a week they coax melodies to delight and beguile us from 10,762 pounds of bronze-cast by the Meneely Bell Company of Troy, NY and installed in the autumn of 1904.
Hours: Monday at 12:50-1p.m. and 7 p.m., Tuesday – Sunday at 12:50, 4 and 7 p.m.

Bells in Play: Thompson Chapel bells are rung by hand by a group of student bell-ringers.
