Marking One Year of Covid: Bell Ringing on Thursday & Vigil on Monday

Today, March 11, marks one year since Williams College went fully remote in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. To mark this important day in our shared history and experience, the bells of Thompson Memorial Chapel will ring at 10:40 AM.

On Monday, March 15 at 12:30pm, the Chaplains’ Office will hold a vigil as we mark the consequential changes and losses our world and our community have undergone over the past year. More details will be forthcoming.

If you have any questions or would like to be involved in Monday’s vigil, please email one of the chaplains: Rev. Valerie (vb7), Imam Sharif (sar4), or Rabbi Seth (smw4); Tracy Finnegan (tff1), or Nancy Luczynski (nluczyns).
