Wednesdays 3:15-4:30pm with Anne O’Connor, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher
This introductory Iyengar Yoga class will examine what the practice of yoga is, and how it can serve as a foundation, guide, and inspiration for living. Alongside the weekly physical practice of yoga poses, the class will explore some of the philosophical and ethical teachings of yoga’s ancient text, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Fridays 11:45am-1:00pm with Tasha Judson, Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher
Animated by qualities the heart such as kindness and resilience, these embodied asana explorations cultivate capacities that enliven and stabilize us throughout the day. Varied sequences generally follow a slow flow from warm up to pinnacle to cool down, meditation and śavāsana. Anchored in teachings of the non-dual Śaiva Śakta Tantras, these practices help us align with life. Open level.
All students are welcome to come onto the session and say hello. Each student is warmly encouraged to keep your video on during class so the teacher can better assist you. Teacher is spotlighted during the practice. No special equipment needed.
