WILLIAMS COLLEGE JEWISH ASSOCIATION (WCJA)
We are a student-run campus organization providing for Jewish students on campus. The organization is open to anybody who identifies as Jewish, either culturally or religiously, or anybody else interested in partaking in Jewish festivities and celebrations. The Jewish Association is the central planning organization for Jewish religious observances, social events, and tzedek projects for the Williams College community. Our primary goal is to create a strong, welcoming Jewish community on the Williams campus. Shabbat Services, Fridays, 6:00 PM and Shabbat Dinner, Fridays, 7:15 M at the Jewish Religious Center. MUSLIM STUDENT UNION (MSU)
The Muslim Student Association (MSU) and the Muslim Chaplain work together to support the Muslim Life at Williams. We provide religious, spiritual, and culturing programming to foster a community between faculty, staff, and students at Williams including the local Muslim community of the Berkshires. Our other campus partners are staff at the Davis Center and our Muslim faculty! All students are always welcome to our events!
THE FEAST
The Feast is a faith-base student organization of progressive Christian students and meaning-seekers committed to radical and inclusive hospitality, respect for other religions of the world, and explorations of the links between the Christian journey and social justice. Join us for a homemade meal and thoughtful reflection on Sundays at 5:50 PM in the “Upper Room” of St. John’s Episcopal Church on Park Street (located just behind Paresky Center.) GOSPEL CHOIR (GC)
Gospel Choir is a student-run, non-audition group. GC was founded in 1986, 39 years ago, by Williams students. Centered around Gospel Music, we meet weekly in preparation for our concerts in the fall and spring. we would like to note that although GC centers around Gospel music, it is an open space to all students and listeners, regardless of religious affiliation or belief.
WILLIAMS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (WCF)
WCF is a Christ-centered, vibrant campus ministry witnessing the good news of the gospel. All are welcome to our interdenominational events such as Bible studies, guest speakers, worship nights, community service, retreats, ice cream/game nights. SIKH STUDENT ASSOCIATION (SSA)
The Sikh Student Association is a religious group for members of the Williams College community to practice, express, and embody the Sikh faith. We plan to hold prayers, spread awareness of Sikhism, and do community service as prescribed by the Sikh principle of Seva. We plan to enact these goals through panels, interfaith dialogue, awareness events, and celebration of holidays that hold importance to the Sikh community.
HINDU STUDENT ASSOCIATION (HSA)
The Hindu Student Association is a campus organization that strives to create an environment in which students can practice and explore Hindu culture, discuss spirituality, celebrate major Hindu festivals, and connect with other area Hindu students interested in learning about the Hindu tradition.
WILLIAMS TELOS
The Telos (from the Greek word τέλοϛ, meaning “purpose”), is a journal for Christian discourse at Williams College. It was founded in the spring of 2009 and includes a variety of submissions including, but not limited to, academic essays, personal essays, reviews, short fiction, poetry and visual art.
